Team Germany represents the community of athletes with small stature who are active in various sports with passion and commitment in the German sport of small stature.

Our athletes have already taken part in numerous World Dwarf Games. We are currently preparing for the 2027 World Dwarf Games in Australia.

This variety allows our athletes to find the sport that best suits their interests and abilities. Our range of sports may vary depending on the event.

Die einheitliche Ausstattung macht uns auf nationalen wie internationalen Wettkämpfen als „Team Germany“ sichtbar.

Do you enjoy exercise, team spirit and want to compete with other people of short stature? Then you've come to the right place!

Whether you are already active in sport or just want to get started - you are very welcome at German Dwarf Sports. We offer you an inclusive, supportive and motivating community with a wide range of sports activities, regular training camps and the chance to become part of Team Germany - the German national team for the World Dwarf Games.

Who can take part?

People of small stature from Germany - and from the neighboring DACH countries (Austria, Switzerland) who enjoy sport, exercise and community.

Regardless of age: As a rule, age is not an obstacle. However, there may be age limits for individual events (e.g. training camps or competitions) - we will communicate these in advance.

Do I have to be a member?

No fixed membership is required to participate in the DKS - basically anyone can join us.

For some events, e.g. training camps with certain financial support, membership of the BKMF e.V. may be required in order to meet the funding requirements. We will inform you about this on a case-by-case basis.

How do I become part of Team Germany?

Team Germany is our national selection that represents Germany at international competitions such as the World Dwarf Games. In principle, anyone who regularly takes part in our sports activities can become part of the team.

Our aim is to put together a strong, fair and inclusive team that not only fits together in terms of sport, but also on a personal level. During the selection process, we look for commitment, team spirit and reliability - and, of course, enjoyment of the sport!

Qualification for the World Dwarf Games

Any athlete of small stature can register for the World Dwarf Games (WDG), regardless of their performance level.

The DKS coordinates the composition of the German teams in advance, handles communication with the international organizing committee and ensures that we as Team Germany are as well prepared as possible.
